Composing music for over twenty years, Vanessa's musical range includes classic instrumental, folk songs, rock and musical theater. Her compositions span generations as well as genres. Vanessa began her study of music, art and sign language at CSU, Northridge. She currently holds a BA in Fine Art from CSU, Chico and a music credential from University of Reno, Nevada.

Finished projects include two solo albums "Broken Glass" and "Relinquish", a children's musical "The King of The Rain," and various arrangements for high school bands. 

Currently she teaches at Woodinville High School and Secondary Academy for Success in Washington and is working on her second musical, "The Bridge."


In addition to composing, Vanessa Littrell has been a singer/songwriter in her local community. She has performed at weddings, on stage at various venues, and occasional house concerts. Her latest live project was working with her band Shotgun Trolley performing rock music in the Reno/Tahoe area.


From 2013-2016, Vanessa was the music promoter at Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park in Minden, NV. The venue is an outdoor stage on the lawn in front of the historic buildings. These summer music concerts are attended by Northern Nevada audiences who love the out of doors and local, original music. Past performers have included Jelly Bread, The Novelists, Mark Sexton Band, Notch 8, Shotgun Trolley, CW & Mr. Spoons and many more.
